HMI (Human Machine Interface)

HMI Human Machine Interface is the electronic device which enables a human to interact with the machine through a simple or touch screen, hard keys or soft keys or touch type keys. One can select various parameters in a plant or machine like temperature, pressure, fluid level, mass and create own screens to visualize what is status of the plant. One can program the PLC and HMI to easily change the operating levels of various control parameters like oven temperature, cut to length, speed of conveyor, number of jobs to be passed through a gate etc. HMI has various communication ports like RS 232, RS 485, Ethernet etc. memory capacity of HMI decides how much data can be stored in it. This capacity may be increased by attaching external memory cards etc. There are also available HMI with inbuilt input outputs which reduce space in the control panel.
